Meet the Staff of Veritas Academy

Jennifer Hotopp – Head of School, 1st-3rd Grade Guide

Following God’s call, I teach to encourage and empower students to learn without boundaries, develop compassion, and become Jesus-following, servant leaders for now and the future.

Rachel VanderWoude – PreK 3 & 4, Kindergarten

Through love, patience, and prayer,

I am committed to providing a safe and joyful space where children can flourish in their relationship with God, develop kindness towards others, and embrace the joy of learning in His wondrous creation.

Amy Reinert – 4th-5th Grade Guide

I teach to nurture curiosity, inspire a love of lifelong learning, and build my students’ confidence. My goal is for every child to feel loved, valued, and important. Rooted in the grace and forgiveness of Jesus, I strive to share His love daily—fostering respect, kindness, and a safe environment where students can grow both academically and personally.

Jessica Grohs – 6th-9th Math Guide

I aim to create a safe space where students feel empowered to engage with mathematics in a dynamic and meaningful way, ultimately becoming confident and resourceful problem solvers.

Mark Hotopp – 6th-10th Grade Science, History, and Theology Guide, Campus Pastor

As a child of God I am called and empowered to encourage and equip following generations in their faith and in the understanding of who God has made them to be. As God has given me a curiosity and love of learning, I inspire and guide others to explore the amazing world that God has placed us in.

Grace Cook – Reading Intervention Guide

As a teacher I spread God’s light and love through encouragement, creativity and passion for learning.  I hope to empower students with confidence, compassion and acceptance for all learning styles and differences. I want to students to leave my time with them feeling equipped and self-assured on their journey as creative individuals and life-long readers and learners.

Alexis Cieslik – Office Manager

I am called to help guide students as they, “search for Truth and Thrive in the life God has given them”- by faithfully walking the path He has set before me.

Through saying ‘yes’ to His plan, even when it looks different than expected, I’ve discovered the purpose He’s prepared me for: to serve others, support students, families, and teachers in their growth, and to reflect His love through my daily work.
